Why the technique matters
In total hip replacement with the ASI method, the joint is approached from the front, through the natural interval between the muscles, without cutting any muscle or tendon. In the knee, robotic assistance improves the accuracy of alignment and ligament balance. In both cases the goal is the same: correctly positioned implants with the tissues around them left intact.
